Tobacco Control courses in smokefree universities with public health facilities

The aim of this project is to scale up the tobacco control course model from the current 31 medical schools in order to increase knowledge and awareness of faculty and students on evidence-based, best practice tobacco control at the national level in all medical schools. The project will establish the infrastructure for medical schools to access the necessary information, strengthen tobacco control curricula implementation and facilitate the China Ministries of Health and of Education to issue a tobacco control course policy. It will also raise awareness among the medical professions of the importance of tobacco control and their role and responsibility to address it.

Building advocacy capacity for tobacco control among the public health workforce in China
